It was during her time in California that Anya’s passion for wine truly began to take shape. Exposure to a variety of great wines, easily accessible and affordable, allowed her to explore different flavors and deepen her curiosity. Each tasting offered something new, sparking a desire to learn more about the art and science behind winemaking. This growing interest inspired her to pursue a deeper understanding of the craft and the traditions that make each bottle unique.
Anya’s return to the Philippines marked the beginning of her involvement in the local wine culture, where she blended her love for wine with the entrepreneurial skills she had honed over the years. Today, she channels her passion and business expertise into running Somm Vinery, making a significant mark on the growing wine scene in Manila and beyond.
